KeepMD is a personal health record for iOS, iPadOS and Android that helps patients and caregivers keep the whole family's records organized in one private place. It connects to hospital and health-system portals over SMART App Launch v2 / FHIR R4 (USCDI v1 and v3), imports Apple Health and Health Connect data, scans paper documents and lab reports, and tracks results against LOINC reference ranges over time. Patients manage separate profiles for kids, parents and anyone in their care, and export organized records when needed.
The distinguishing design choice is local-first storage: health records are held encrypted on the device using SQLCipher with AES-256-GCM envelope encryption and Argon2id key derivation. Cloud-assisted features (OCR, narration) are explicitly opt-in and consent-gated.
